Fair Use

Philosophy Statement:
Teachers AND students will pledge to abide by safe, legal, and ethical uses of digital technologies to foster and enhance teaching and learning as a part of their daily routines. It is important for us to abide by these set of rules while teaching and learning in order to help us succeed without hindering someone else's work. It is also important to use technology to enhance your work, but to remember to also use your own creativity.

Fair Use Guidelines for Students:
1. *IMPORTANT* As a safety feature when using any form of technology, make sure to site and give credit to avoid plagiarism.

2. Follow the instructions by using only the approved materials/websites/etc. the teacher has provided for you.

3. If you are unsure and seem questionable about some form of technology, it's best to ask the teacher.

4. Think critically about the authenticity and reliability of the technology [(YouTube) videos, internet websites, etc.] you are choosing to use.

5. Report any suspicious use of technology that may be unsafe, illegal, and/or unethical.
